Coalition for the Homeless Food Van

Members of the Rotary Club of Wall Street have volunteered with Coalition for the Homeless for more than 8 years.

For one evening each month, our Rotarians and friends load up a van with warm meals to serve those in need throughout the Bronx borough of New York City. Driven by Hermann– one of our club’s longtime members and lead supporters of Coalition for the Homeless– our volunteers walk away having a unique and fulfilling experience of helping fellow New Yorkers. If you’re interested in volunteering, please click here to register for one of our club’s 4 dedicated volunteer spots.

We’re now not only feeding hundreds of people each month but we’re working to alleviate other challenges faced by homeless children and families in New York City. In May 2019, our club re-ignited its collection of additional items gathered by members and our community. In partnership with every other Rotary and Rotaract Club throughout District 7230 (Manhattan), we now distribute hundreds of kits every other month along our route in the Bronx. Contents of these kits can range from feminine hygiene products, to toiletries and dental kits depending on the collection goal.

If you can’t join us to volunteer with the food van, please consider donating funds towards our monthly collection.
